Within 14 days from the exam date - Complete an example report to management.
Submit to RISK within 14 days - Demonstrates practical application of learning gained in Module 1 & 2 National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.

Practical Assessment Summary

Your practical assessment is workplace based and must be completed with 14 days of taking your Module 2 exam. It's a practical assessment NCC2 which consists of carrying out a health and safety inspection of a construction site and preparing a management report.

The process is covered during your 7 days of intensive learning during Module 2. The process of creating a report is explained and you are also supplied with examples of the correct format.

You are responsible for submitting your assessment within the 14 day period after your Module 2 written exam. If assessments are not submitted by this time you will fail the course.

 

NEBOSH National Construction Certificate Course Objectives

On successful completion of the NEBOSH National Construction Certificate you will be able to:

Understand the main requirements and application of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015

Understand the factors to consider when carrying out a site assessment; identify construction activity hazards, assess the risks and recommend control measures

Identify the hazards & and outline appropriate control measures in the following areas: movement of people & vehicles, manual & mechanical handling, work equipment, electrical, chemical & biological, physical & psychological, working at height, excavation work & confined spaces & demolition

Successfully carry out a safety inspection of a construction workplace identifying hazards, recommending control measures and preparing a management report

 

Upon successful completion of all three modules, you will be awarded the NEBOSH National Construction Certificate.

 

The NEBOSH Certificate is accepted by IOSH – the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health – in meeting the academic requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). It is also accepted by The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) for associate membership.
