The thing that is really good about the NEBOSH Fast Track is that you are able to come in, block one week out of your calendar, cram a lot of revision in, learn other things from other people in the group

The thing that is really good about the NEBOSH Fast Track is that you are able to come in, block one week out of your calendar, cram a lot of revision in, learn other things from other people in the group, cos they are quite large groups of people. You have a trainer many years experience, with lots of knowledge and in terms of location the London location for me is excellent it is less than an hour from door to door.

Here's how NEBOSH Fast Track works

Which is why the NEBOSH General Certificate pass rate is higher than the national average with RISK Health and Safety Training

RISK have a higher than national average pass rate for Nebosh General Certificate because they teach the material in a different way to everyone else. Unique 'Fast Track NEBOSH course' modular learning and exams.

With the Fast Track you are only blocking out one week of your calendar at a time instead of having to be in a certain place on a particular day for 5 or 6 weeks

I do already have the Construction side NCC1 & 2 so I have done that a different way to how I’m doing this one. The old way was day release one day a week over a period 8 or 9 weeks one day a week and then sat the exam and did the written practical assessment exam afterwards, so you had a week to learn the stuff you had been taught on the Wednesday, come back the following Wednesday, have a little test, talk about what you had learnt what you had revised over the week and then go into the next days learning. With the Fast Track you are only blocking out one week of your calendar at a time instead of having to be in a certain place on a particular day for 5 or 6 weeks, bearing in mind the amount of meetings and different contracts I have to go to, all around the South, South East and South West so I cover quite a large area and a lot of the meetings I need to be at are on different days for me it is benefit in that respect.

The thought of doing two exams on a day would be a bit daunting

The thought of doing two exams on a day would be a bit daunting, I like the idea of being able to revise for one exam on a particular day knowing when that’s done I can then put that to one side and concentrate on the next stage. That’s definitely a good idea, I did do something similar when I did the Construction, we did come in and do a morning revisions. It wasn’t very structured it was more that you went into a room and you decided what you were going to revise whereas this one the way that Mike has described it, it is going to be a bit more structured, he is going to look at what we are strong on and what we are not so strong on and he will focus on those sort of areas to try to help us.

Working in a group of this many people, there is quite a large cross section of backgrounds and there are some people within the group with vast amount of experience, not just in construction but in general industry.

So some of the guys and girls have come up with other learning techniques as well, that others people haven’t thought of, I have taken a couple away myself a lot of it about reminding yourself about things rather than learning things it is how these people are learning that rubbing off on other people.

Mike has a great amount of knowledge, he is very strong minded and straight to the point, I think some people might feel that he is a bit abrupt, I prefer that approach to softly, softly approach. I would much rather someone was straight to the point, factual and not skirting round issues.

The London location for this course is brilliant

The London location for this particular course is brilliant, I live in a little village called Alsing which is on the main line it is 35-40 minutes into Kings Cross and then a minutes walk to the training venue.
