Ann expains joy at passing NEBOSH exam

Ann Smith explains what the in-house NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Course was really like. How Risk made the NEBOSH course enjoyable, and why the mix of people in the group helped broaden her understanding.

NEBOSH is a lot of hard work but I really enjoyed it in the end

"Hello I’m Ann Smith, I work for Leicestershire County Council and I have just completed the Nebosh construction course and I am very happy to say I passed it. It was a lot of hard work but I really enjoyed it in the end.

Risk provided the in-house NEBOSH training

Risk provided the training which was in-house NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Course which was quite good so I didn’t have to travel very far. It was a long day but the trainers were very, very good.

Risk made the NEBOSH course enjoyable

"They varied the pitch, delivering the course and got people to contribute, and people’s experiences so it made it all very, very real and enjoyable course. It was over a few months, started in January and finished in March.

12 Leicestershire County Council employees who all passed the in-house NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety exam – achieving five distinctions, five credits & two passes.

Mix of people meant experiences were shared

"A few days a week which worked out quite well because you could go back and do your homework and if there was anything you didn’t know you could go and ask them to give you a bit of help, so it worked quite well. I think there were about 20 of us on the course and the roles varied very much, from senior technician level to management level and worked quite well that way with us all being together not all at one level, so you got the experience of other people in the roles that they did.
